Environmental Branding: Research Facility

Few elements of brand design are as permanent as environmental or structural branding. In many ways, such work is interior design elevated to experiential communication. That was the task before us as we explored ways to improve the tour experience at a relatively “monochromatic” international research facility in Delaware. With some campus buildings showing their age and others appearing sleek but sterile, we reimagined each space and its relationship to both one-time visitors and everyday personnel. The result was an impressive blend of images, infographics and transformational repurposing of a tired, under-utilized space into a sophisticated visitors’ auditorium. All elements – including a welcoming video we wrote and produced – gave new life and energy to the Stine Research Center while honoring its impressive past.
